The temple of Vaishno Devi is dedicated to Vaishnavi, the human manifestation of Goddess Shakti. Within the temple is the deity in the form of a five and half feet tall rock with three Pindies or heads. The Goddess Mata Vaishno Devi's abode is in 100 feet long cave with a narrow opening. The holy cold and crystal clear water washes the lotus feet of the Mata's "Pindian". There are three natural pindies representing Maha Sarswati, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Kali, which represent creative, preservative, and destructive aspects of the Super Power. Shri Maa Vaishno Devi Shrine is one of the oldest shrine of India, located at a height of 5300 feet on the holy Trikuta Hills of the Shivalik Hill Range. The Holy cave is 13 Kms from the Base Camp Katra. As the walk begins one can notice the scenic beauty and beautiful landscape around them. It is a very enchanting and spiritually uplifting experience as devotees constantly chant “Jai Mata Di” during their walk which gives a magical effect. Pilgrims don't have to pay any entry fees for a visit at the Vaishno Devi Temple. However you can donate or pay by your own wish for any poojas that you wish to do in the Temple of Maa Vaishno Devi. Photography and Videography are not allowed but if you want some photos or videos needed permission the temple board.

Timing For Vaishno Devi Temple Katra


Vaishno Devi Temple open All days of the week and Open in Morning 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Evening 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

At the temple there are “aarti” being performed twice a day, once in the morning and next in the evening during sunset.
