Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is an ancient pilgrimage site revered as the abode of one of the 12 Jyotirlingas Temples of Lord Shiva. It is located at a distance of 11 km from Daulatabad near Aurangabad in Maharashtra India. Also known by several names like Kusumeswarar, Ghushmeswara, Grushmeswara, Grishneswara is located at approximately 100 kms from Manmad station just adjacent to the famous Ellora Caves.

The Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple premesis is very spacious and surrounded by a large wall on all the four sides. The Jyotirling and the Goddess, Grishneshwari, both are seen in inside the Garbha gruham. Lot of art work can be seen on the walls. The Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple was constructed by Ahilyabhai Holkar who also re-constructed the Kashi Viswanatha Temple at Varanasi and the Vishnu Paada Temple at Gaya. It lies very near to the Buddhist caves of Ellora, only half a kilometer away, and serves as the abode of one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple development was mainly done during Chatrapathi Shivaji. Later during 16th century Vithoji and during 17th century Queen of Indore Ahalya bai Halkar also contributed a lot for further development. There are many legends about Grishneshwar. It is believed an ardent devotee named Kusuma offered prayers to Lord Shiva dipping the Shivalinga in a water tank. Eventually Lord Shiva appeared in front of her and her prayers for the restoration of her son's life was answered.
